Plus to add what dapperanarchist said about manga Japan has a complete different rule set to it's comic culture. They don't do this whole "COMICS ARE FOR MAN" stuff they have multigenre age and gender classification over there which fit better with their own set of gener roles which Japan has a much larger attachment to It is kind of obnoxious to think that just because Vampire Knight exists in a country that has had no problems with women reading comics that it eliminates false equivalence here
You always have to grab examples from other countries to prove my comic about American superheroes wrong.
