A high-end game that debuted late last year on consoles and PCs is now available for your iPad. This is a full port of the game, not a light version, and has a price to match.
XCOM: Enemy Unknown is turn-based game in which players control soldiers in combat. The versions for other platforms have received many positive reviews and have sold well.
A touch-based user interface had been added to the iOS version. Online play is not yet available, but the developer, 2K Games, says this feature will be added later.
It sells for $20, well above the price for most iPad games, even high-end ones. Still, that is half the cost of the version for consoles and PCs.
XCOM: Enemy Unknown will run on the iPad 2 or greater and the iPad mini, as well as on recent iPhone models.
